Hot & Cold Stone Massage Course

This is an ancient healing art recently rediscovered. It is a manual form of massage, which uses smooth heated and cooled stones to relieve muscle stiffness and soreness and induce relaxation. Stone massage involves the application of water heated stones of varying sizes to key points on the body which are then incorporated into a massage. The combination of the warm stones and the deep and flowing massage is extremely soothing and the heat allows manipulations of a greater intensity than with other forms of massage.

During the course we cover the following:

• Preparation of stones and heaters
• Contra Indications
• History of treatment
• Care and maintenance of equipment.

This course is held over 1 day from 9:30am - 4:30 pm. Please contact the college for the next available dates.
